Q. How often should my Potterton boiler be serviced?

A. Your Potterton boiler should be serviced each year by a Gas Safe registered engineer. An annual service will make sure your boiler works efficiently, reliably and safely, and that any parts that need it are replaced.  During the warranty period, an annual service must be done to make sure your warranty remains valid. We recommend the best time to have your boiler serviced is during the summer, when engineers are generally less busy. Find out more information about servicing.

Please remember that only a Gas Safe registered installer can legally install gas appliances. More information about replacing your boiler is available here, or you can look for a local Gas Safe registered installer with Baxi's Find a Boiler tool.

Q. What is an oil burner?

A. An oil fired burner or boiler is a central heating system that provides heated water to the radiators and hot water taps within a home using oil as its fuel source rather than gas. Like their gas counterparts, oil burners can vary in cost, efficiency and reliability, although they often cost more to run. Potterton no longer manufactures oil fired burners, however, user instructions for our discontinued Potterton Statesman Oil Fired Boiler can be found here.

Totally dependable.
